Kenny is a virtuoso in financial skills development whose career in banking and finance has spanned over 2 decades, covering major Asian countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and Hong Kong. He has held various positions in corporate banking, project finance and capital market operations with organizations such as the United Overseas Bank, Singapore, the Malaysian Armed Forces Fund Board, TA Securities in Malaysia, JP Morgan Chase, the Dow Banking Group of Switzerland, the Royal Bank of Canada and the Asia Finance in Sydney, Australia. He is a Chartered Accountant in Malaysia and also a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in the UK.
Following a career in the financial services industry, Kenny decided to shift to the training and development sector where he designs and delivers financial skills training courses for banks, multinational companies, professional organizations, and government agencies across the Southeast Asian region. Kenny’s forte includes credit risk management, capital market licensing programs, finance for non-financial managers and boardroom strategies for directors of publicly listed companies.
As an engaging finance trainer, has delivered various training courses to more than 20,000 business executives over the last 20 years. His unique brand of delivery helps participants to appreciate Finance from a strategic perspective and to learn to peruse financial information in a manner that enables them to formulate corporate decisions, thereby improving their company’s bottom line.
Kenny’s organizational clients include the Bank of Investment and Development in Vietnam, Cambodia Airport Management Services, Axiata (Cambodia), Brunei Institute of Certified Public Accountants, UEM, Hong Leong Bank, Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA), Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) (formerly IBBM), Asian Banking School (ABS), Telekom Malaysia, Public Bank, Maybank, SME Bank, United Overseas Bank and Bank Negara of Malaysia (Central Bank of Malaysia).
